Proton, He+ and He 2+ ion Impact Electron Capture from Na Atom

Abstract

Cross-Sections for single electron capture by protons He+ and He2+ ions from Na atoms have been calculated in the Modified Binary Encounter Approximation. The Hartree –Fock velocity distribution has been taken into account throughout the calculations. The angular divergence factor has also been considered. The present calculations have fairly good agreement with the experimental observations.
