Abstract
The paper explores the experiences, challenges, and contributions of Naga women in shaping society in Nagaland after independence. This study examines the contemporary history of Nagaland, with a specific emphasis on communal and social matters, to provide a glimpse at the distinct societal obstacles encountered by Naga women. It examines their resilience and empowerment through art, culture, and active participation in various spheres of life. Through an analysis of personal narratives, cultural practices, and societal transformations, this research aims to highlight the significant role of Naga women in shaping the fabric of Naga society. By understanding their experiences, we can gain valuable perspectives into the progress made and the work that still lies ahead in achieving gender equality and social justice in Nagaland.
