Scientometric Analysis Of Articles Contributions To Web Of Science On Quality Assessment And Higher Education

Abstract

The study examined the research productivity of the global research on Quality Assessment and Higher Education during 2012-2016. There were 1990 research papers published and indexed in the WoS database for five (5) years from various HEIs across the globe. This study revealed that the number of research articles was highest at 1,757 (88.29%) in the types of documents. and in 2016 the highest number of publications was published. The University of California System, USA 81 (13.92%) was produced more number of documents during the study period. The USA contributes the most publications. English language is the most widely used for publications. The Department of Health and Human Services, USA 182 (39.65%) was the leading funding agency in the world on this theme. Education Educational Research, 469 (27.27%) were the leading research areas during this study. The research on the theme of Quality Assessment and Higher Education will be helpful for further research among researchers and educators in the field of Higher education and library professionals.
