CONCERNS OF THE SOUTH AFRICAN FORESTRY INDUSTRY

Abstract

The South African Forestry Industry is a large enterprise that utilizes many vegetativeand micropropagation methods. However, like international forestry industries, thereare factors, ranging from soil to climate change, that affect plant yield. Some of theconcerns may be related to particular plant species, like Eucalyptus grandis x nitenshybrids. In this mini-paper, some factors that are of concern to the South AfricanForestry Industry are discussed. Although some points may be general in nature, theyare necessary since such concerns have implications for natural plant growth,harvesting, and greenhouse plants
