Abstract

Firstly, the multiple shoots were obtained from the nodal segments ofBauhinia variegata L. cultured on Murashige and Skoog’s (1962) (MS)medium containing 0.5 μM BAP (Benzylaminopurine) increased the highmultiplication rate. Nodal segments inoculated on the MS medium withvarious combinations of 0.5, 1.0, 2.0 and 5.0 μM BPA (N-Benzyl-9-(2-tetrahydropyranyl) adenine with 0.1, 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 μM concentrations ofIBA (Indole-3-butyric acid) and separately showed drastically differentresults. Healthy propagated plants were acclimatized and transferred to thefield. Data were worked out statistically with SPSS, a system of analyticalprocedure.
